Position Overview

The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all credentialing, drug screen, and background processes are compliant with state, federal, regulatory agency, client-specific and company requirements and standards. The manager will conduct reviews and audits of company processes and work with departments and leaders to initiate any required updates to ensure federal, state, and governing board regulations are met. This position will be the liaison between business partners to prevent and stop any scope creep and work with Human Resources regarding any confidential matters.

  • Our corporate office located in Milford, Iowa - just miles away from beautiful Lake Okoboji

  • This position may also be worked remotely for qualified candidates within a 4-hour radius of our corporate office


  • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

  • Full-time position

Position Responsibilities

  • Ensure appropriate compliance of policies and procedures per National/State regulations (Boards of Nursing, Department of Health and Human Services, Licensure and Regulation, Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Joint Commission or any other governing agency

  • Identify and maintain required documentation by regulatory agencies affecting our client base

  • Interact with other leaders to develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs and systems

  • Research laws and regulations to keep company in compliance with healthcare rules, regulations and guidelines

  • Contact various State and Federal departments, agencies, etc. in correlation with research and verifications when necessary

  • Review, enhance and provide updates as needed with involvement from senior leadership to corporate procedures to identify possible compliance risks to include new and existing states

  • Manage the requirements and compliance with The Joint Commission to meet the certification requirements

  • Assist the Onboarding Manager with compliance management

  • Collaborate with Human Resources on policy and procedure updates and any confidential matters.

  • Aid internal or external auditors in compliance reviews

  • Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of regulatory developments within or outside of the organization as well as evolving best practices in compliance control by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies, and conducting research


  • One year of compliance experience preferred

  • Registered Nurse preferred

  • Knowledge of software frequently used, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Adobe, scanning software and Windows.

  • Familiarity and comprehension of Internet capabilities.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • High level of customer service skills
