Here are the details:

This position serves as the leader of the FP & A team and is the lead financial liaison to a business unit(s). They will also provide business line and executive management with financial and operational reporting and analysis that are used for strategic and tactical decision making, work with various senior levels of management to develop, interpret, and implement financial and accounting concepts or techniques related to strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting to drive business results. Lastly, they are also responsible for data collection, business analysis, developing tactical and strategic insight, and delivering recommendations to management.


Location(s): Our corporate office is located in Milford, Iowa. We work and live where others vacation! We offer the option to work full-time onsite, hybrid, or full-time remote based on your location.


  • Onsite: Team members can choose to work full-time onsite at our corporate office.

  • Hybrid: Our hybrid option allows team members to work 3 days at home and 2 days in the office each week. Thursdays are considered to be a universal onsite day for all employees within a 40-mile radius of headquarters.

  • Remote: Based on a candidate’s location, this position can also be offered as a full-time work from home opportunity.


Schedule: As an FP & A Manager, you can expect to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm CST.


Salary: This is a salaried position. Paychecks are received weekly, with the option to earn it sooner with Instant Pay!


Benefits: Medical Insurance: premium as low as $10.07 per week, Basic Life Insurance: $50,000, 401k: up to 4% employer match, and bonuses/incentives: numerous opportunities.

A day in the life:

After appropriate training and practice the employee demonstrates proficiency in the following:

  • Works with senior management and business units to determine strategic objectives and identify opportunities to meet these goals.

  • Supervises team of analysts who are assigned business units, including compiling and analyzing all financial information.

  • Prepares financial and business-related analysis and research in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, risk analysis, etc.

  • Coordinates & manages the monthly financial review package to management, board and lenders, including commenting on variance to plan, forecast and prior year.

  • Analyzes financial and operational data, draws conclusions and presents recommendations on decisions and actions.

  • Analyzes and reports on key drivers of business and company performance, including monthly and quarterly results and variance analysis.

  • Performs sensitivity, scenario and what-if analysis, as well as analyzes the financial impact of changes in business and new business opportunities / acquisitions.

  • Provides high-level performance “dashboard” quality reports to senior management or executive team.

  • Coordinates, facilitates, and leads the preparation of annual planning process, including but not limited to, annual budget, operating plans, forecasts, in consultation with the Business Leaders(s).

  • Prepares consolidated forecasts and budgets, and analyzes trends in revenue, expense, capital expenditures and other related areas.

  • Leads various analyses (i.e. ROI, NPV, and IRR)

  • Partners with senior and executive management on ad hoc analyses, special projects and Board of Director meeting preparation.

  • Researches, analyzes and synthesizes data from multiple sources into business information as directed and by self-identification of business information needs.

  • Maintains and coordinates group completion of financial review templates and meetings.

  • Carries out performance analysis and reporting.

  • Partners with the business leader to provide input and guidance on business issues and to provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the line(s) of business, including commenting on variances to plan, forecast and prior year.

  • Works with business users to refine and improve current reporting and analysis often performing ad hoc reporting to satisfy end users.

  • Performs month-end review of results to ensure accuracy.

  • Performs departmental work on special projects in cost savings, revenue analysis, and other projects as assigned by management.

  • Assists in revenue, expense, and cash flow projections and expense saving opportunities within all areas of the forecast models.

  • Analyzes projections with respect to various operating strategies, shareholder value measures, and other metrics or objectives.

  • Analyzes actual results to understand variances, and revises projections as appropriate.

  • Delivers presentations to various levels of management about financial planning and analysis.

  • Develops and updates models and methods to analyze volume and margin trends to develop both short and medium-term forecasts.

Here's what you need to be successful in this role:

  • Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage and direct employees, resolve employee conflicts, and coach employees appropriately.

  • Highly motivated and ability to work under minimal supervision, follow general guidance and adhere to prescribed business process.

  • Robust analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Capable of making firm decisions and eliminating a vast array of choices that could hinder decisions.

  • Strong desire to continually learn as the business and industry grows and evolves.

  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)

  • Communication skills: Comfortable interacting with diverse functional groups, including technical staff, senior management and third parties. Communicate clearly at all levels of the organization, both in writing and verbally. Experience speaking to audiences and experience interacting with business leaders.

  • Ability to rank business requirements and business issues and distinguish between critical, important and "nice to have".

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and action items concurrently.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Excel, Project, Microsoft Power Bi, NetSuite; capable of quickly learning and implementing new systems and programs.

  • Knowledge of GAAP preferred.
