The Vice President of Human Resources will provide vision, leadership, and direction across all HR operations, including employee relations, benefits administration, compensation strategy, performance management, workers’ compensation, unemployment, compliance, and talent development. This role is responsible for building scalable HR processes, developing high-performing teams, maintaining compliance with federal and state employment laws, and supporting the organization’s continued growth within the healthcare staffing industry.

Location(s):
This position will work from our corporate office located in Milford, Iowa. We work and live where others vacation!
Schedule:
As the Vice President of Human Resources, you can expect to work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm CST. Given the supervisory and leadership duties within this position, there may be times work falls outside of these hours.
Total Compensation View:
Medical Insurance: premium as low as $16.59 per week
Basic Life Insurance: $50,000
401k: up to 4% employer match
Bonuses/incentives: numerous opportunities.
A day in the life:
Lead and oversee all Human Resources operations for corporate and field staff employees across multiple locations and states.
Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives that align with organizational goals and support business growth.
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, risk management, employee engagement, and talent strategy.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Human Resources professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective action, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation while minimizing organizational risk.
Direct administration of employee benefits, leave programs, unemployment claims, and workers’ compensation programs.
Lead annual performance evaluation and compensation planning processes, including salary increases and compensation strategy recommendations.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and reporting requirements, including EEO, Affirmative Action, OSHA, ACA, FMLA, ADA, and related regulations.
Partner with operational leaders to support staffing strategies, retention initiatives, leadership development, and workforce engagement.
Analyze HR metrics and trends to drive operational improvements, organizational effectiveness, and employee retention.
Maintain HRIS systems, reporting accuracy, and confidentiality of employee records and data.
Support organizational growth initiatives, process improvement efforts, and executive-level strategic planning.
Here's what you need to be successful in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience managing exempt and non-exempt teams.
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR compliance, and multi-state workforce management.
Demonstrated experience leading employee relations, benefits administration, compensation planning, workers’ compensation, and compliance initiatives.
Proven ability to lead organizational change, develop teams, and drive operational improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
Experience utilizing data, reporting, and analytics to support HR decision-making and business strategy.
Ability to influence executive leadership and build strong cross-functional relationships throughout the organization.
Healthcare staffing, healthcare, or multi-location workforce experience preferred.
